Top 10 Places to Go Sledding in the Concord Area

By Sarah Cates, Macaroni Kid Concord NH Publisher Mom December 16, 2019

Here comes more snow! Now is the perfect time to go outside and enjoy winter! I have put together a list of TOP 10 places to go sledding... Or is it called sliding? Whatever you want to call it, there are some awesome places to go locally. The list below is ranked by approximate proximity to Concord. Also, be sure to check out the Google Map attached below!

White Park- Concord

There is also a hockey rink and pond to ice skate on!

Kimball Park- Concord

Parking is available at the Boys and Girls Club

Next to the Bow Fire Station- Bow

On the corner of Knox and Logging Hill Rd., there is a nice little hill for the kids.

Loudon Congregational Church- Loudon

There is a great hill right in front of the church with parking available at church, but maybe not on Sundays.

Donati Field- Hooksett

This is a great place to visit year-round including during Hooksett Old Home Days and Winter Carnival!

Canterbury Shaker Village- Canterbury

I was unable to confirm that it's open and free for everyone, but it came highly recommended. I suggest calling to ask during business hours.

Hawthorne Town Forest- Hopkinton

This is also a great place to explore with trails that are perfect for snowshoeing!

Blackwater Dam- Webster

No, I do not recommend sledding on the dam itself...it's probably illegal and deadly.  Although, there is a great place to sled on the access road behind the brown gate by the upper parking lot!

Pat's Peak- Henniker

Tubing counts as sledding in my book. They offer 2 Hours of tubing for $24! Open Friday-Sunday starting December 26.

Gunstock Mountain- Gilford

They charge $34 for a 2 Hour session. Open Tuesday-Sunday.
