It is cold at night and definitely getting warmer during the day which means New Hampshire Maple Weekend is coming right up! It's actually March 16 and 17. It is definitely one of my favorite times of year in the Concord area! In my book, it is right up there with Wild NH Day, the Market Days Festival, and Plaid Friday/Small Business Saturday/Concord Christmas Tree Lighting weekend!
With so many local sugar houses opening their doors with different activities, demonstrations, and maple goodies galore, it is something all families are sure to enjoy! My family (from age 5 months to 90-something) has visited several different ones over just the past 6 or so years. Some of our favorite things have been amazing food, climbing on heavy equipment, petting animals, smelling the aroma of maple syrup boiling, and of course visiting with family, friends, and community members we just met!
