Stonyfield Organic Kids- A Healthy and Handy Snack Solution

By Sarah Cates, Macaroni Kid Concord NH Publisher Mom April 3, 2019

Do you have a picky toddler that wants to live on Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches? How about a big kid that is constantly raiding the snack drawer, but just loading up on carbs? Ok... I admit... I'm a carb girl, too, with a toddler that takes after me. To add to that, many healthy snacks are not very convenient or portable. Thankfully, I've found Stonyfield Organic Kids and Whole Milk yogurts are the perfect healthy snack for busy families!

My family and I are definitely yogurt lovers, but had never tasted the new Stonyfield Organic Kids and Whole Milk yogurt pouches. As a result, I was really excited to have the opportunity to try, share, and review them as a Macaroni Kid publisher!

When I first checked out one of the 4-Packs, the first thing that stood out to me was it suggested freezing them for use on-the-go! That is perfect for us! It seems like EVERY time I needed to run errands, by the time I get all of us ready to walk out the door, it's about 10:00- snack time. But there's no way I'm going to start a whole new cycle of feeding, changing, having the toddler go potty, and nursing all over again. So off we go hoping the protein bars and rice cakes won't be too messy. Although, at this very moment I'm waiting in the van for the toddler to wake up with a Stonyfield yogurt that has been thawing. It is ready whenever he is, because it is amazing as frozen yogurt, too! Just be sure to totally thaw it completely if you are feeding it to a baby.

My husband and I also love the fact that Stonyfield Organic Kids and Whole Milk pouches are really good for our boys! I am often most concerned about the sugar content of things while providing balanced nutrition, because there was diabetes in my family. In addition, we try to avoid foods with fake sugar, GMOs, and chemicals. It is often difficult to find yogurt that meets those specifications, but Stonyfield delivers in every way! With 25%-35% less sugar than leading kids' yogurt, I feel confident in feeding it to both my toddler and almost 8 month old! In addition, it is providing them vegetables in a very tasty way! Personally, I had questioned the flavor of the ones that had a vegetable in the title... that was until I tried them. So far, I've had Strawberry Beet Berry, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, and Pear Spinach Mango and can absolutely say they are all amazing!

It was great to see that some local families that sampled the yogurt pouches at the Family Fun Expo last Saturday were already passionate consumers! If you haven't tried it yet (or even if you have), you'll want to click here for a coupon and more information about Stonyfield Organic Kids products. You can purchase them locally at either of the Market Basket locations in Concord, Hannaford, Target, or Walmart.
