Bear Brook State Park

Boasting over 10,000 acres, there is tons of scenery and opportunities for fun. Check your library for a free State Park pass.
Beech Hill Farm
107 Beech Hill Rd. Hopkinton
Enjoy beautiful scenery along with lots of fun things to do. They have a corn maze, animals, ice cream, gift shop, and more!
Carter Hill Orchard
73 Carter Hill Rd. Concord
They have gorgeous mountain views that can be also be seen from their observation tower. Also, enjoy the playground, pick your own apples, and country store.
Franconia Notch
Interstate 93 North
Just drive up 93 for some of the New Hampshire's most beautiful scenery. Popular stops include the Basin, the Flume, and Echo Lake.
Gould Hill Orchard
656 Gould Hill Rd. Contoocook
Enjoy 60 acres of apple orchards, fields, and forest on top of some beautiful mountain views. While there, enjoy a cider tasting room, live music, and carriage rides.
Hackleboro Orchard
61 Orchard Rd. Canterbury
Enjoy a beautiful drive through Canterbury to an even more amazing view from their observation tower. Also, pick your own apples and visit several animals.
Heads Pond Trail
Post Rd. Hooksett
If you want to walk with the little ones and/or fur babies, the Heads Pond Trail a great choice. It is stroller and dog friendly, scenic, and has plenty of parking.
Interstate 89
Interstate 89 Northwest of Bow
Take a drive up 89 for fantastic views including some of the best from a visitor center before you get to Vermont. Go a bit further and you can check out Quechee Gorge in Vermont.
Kancamagus Highway

This is a no-brainer. One of the most amazing places to just drive, but there are scenic stops and waterfalls views along the way. The twists and turns make for a fun drive, too.
Miles Smith Farm

Miles Smith Farm boasts an amazing backdrop. Take in the foliage while visiting horses or petting cows. They also are home to an AirBNB, farm store, and upcoming 4-H barn.
NH Audubon McLane Center/Silk Farm Sanctuary
84 Silk Farm Rd. Concord
Explore the woods and scenic trails to Great Turkey Pond. Also, learn about local birds and wildlife at the McLane Center featuring live owls, a bald eagle, and more!
Oak Hill
Trailheads at Shaker Rd. and Oak Hill Rd. Concord
There are several loops, trails, and scenic points, so you can cater the hike to fit your family. Don't miss the fire tower if you want amazing views of the area.
Sewell Falls Recreation Area
Parking at Sewell Falls Rd. or Second St. Concord
There's beautiful foliage all along the trail with water views. It is great for dogs, families, fishing, and swimming (in the summer). Also, it's where I got engaged!
Shaker Village

Shaker Village combines the beauty of rural New Hampshire with history. Check your library for a museum pass, then head over to explore almost 700 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and historic buildings.
