By Intown Concord October 23, 2023

Get ready for a night of frightful fun as the much-anticipated Halloween Howl returns to Downtown on October 27, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This spine-tingling event promises an unforgettable experience for families.

Trick or Treating on Main Street

Main Street will come alive with ghouls, ghosts, and goblins as local businesses open their doors for the little trick-or-treaters. Children and parents alike can wander down Main St. collecting sweet treats, and enjoying the unique decorations that adorn the streets, creating a magical atmosphere that captures the spirit of Halloween.

Trunk or Treat on North Main Street

For those who prefer a more centralized approach to collecting candy, North Main Street will be hosting a "Trunk or Treat" event. Decorated vehicles will line the street, each offering a spooky or whimsical theme, and loaded with candies for the taking. This is an ideal option for younger children or anyone looking for a different twist on traditional trick-or-treating.

Costume Contest

The Costume Contest is one of the most anticipated parts of the event, and this year, we're excited to introduce four thrilling categories for participants of all ages to strut their stuff. Get ready to put your best spooky, funny, homemade, and group-themed costumes on display. Please register ahead of time for the contest at intownconcord.org

The Scary Bus and More

A thrilling highlight of Halloween Howl is the Concord school District "Scary Bus." Step aboard if you dare but be prepared for a spine-chilling journey through the haunted depths of this ghostly vehicle. For those with nerves of steel, it's a must-see attraction.

Join the Witches of Lakes Region for a wicked dance. They will be performing at the Pleasant and Main St intersection. Don’t miss seeing what they conjure up!

But that's not all! Halloween Howl will feature a variety of games and activities for all ages at City Plaza with the Girl Scouts and Concord Parks and Recreation. Want even more fun head over to Bicentennial Square and check out the KidsZone and a performance by the Wandering Souls Band, thanks to Fellowship Housing Opportunity.

So, mark your calendars for October 27, 2023, and make your way to Main Street for a Halloween Howl you won't soon forget. Whether you're strolling down Main Street, enjoying the trunk or treat, braving the Scary Bus, or partaking in the games and festivities, this event promises a spooktacular evening for the whole family.
