52 Field Trips to Enrich Your Family's Education

By Sarah Cates, Macaroni Kid Concord NH Publisher Mom August 17, 2020

New England is rich with opportunities to enrich our families' education! I recently read a homeschooling tip recommending parents use their unique environment to teach their children. There are lots of fun learning experiences surrounding us everyday. With our events calendar, 33 virtual field trips, and 17+ Hiking Trails for Families, there are lots of enrichment opportunities. In addition, there is the possibility of touring your local fire department, town office, farm, library, or parent's workplace. This article goes BEYOND that to bring you a unique field trip experience for every week of the year!

Within a couple hours drive, we can do everything from explore the old stomping grounds of America's founding fathers to learn about extreme weather on Mt. Washington. Below are several of my recommendations for things to explore as your family learns together. Also note, many locations have passes at your local library that offer free or discounted admission.
